Is anyone else out there SHOCKED that it is already August?? Although we are very excited to begin the fall and start our after-school program, we still have ALOT to do!!! We are currently registering families and signing up volunteers. Here's some quick info about the after-school program at BigHouse:
-Serves any children residing in a Lee County Foster Home (Foster, Adopted, Biological, or Custody)
-Runs from 3-6pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
-Begins with Family Orientation the week of August 16th
-Provides Tutoring, Art, Dance, Music, and Sports free of charge to foster families!
-Needs volunteers who can commit to as little as one hour or as much as 9 hours a week to help with Tutoring, Art, Dance, Music, and Sports.

Also- we have some EXCITING news!! We now have a real staff! We are happy to introduce Susannah Jones as our 1st official BigHouse staffer!!!
Here is a little bit about Susannah...
Susannah is a native of Fairview, Tennessee who we met in school at the University of Alabama. She received a degree in Music Therapy and has been working in North Georgia as a Music Therapist for the past year. She is now the Program Director at BigHouse and will not only coordinate our after-school program, she will teach music classes and conduct music therapy sessions! We are thrilled to have her and thankful that God has blessed us with her help!
